Bonnie Salewski

Instructor Bio

Music has been Bonnie’s life-long passion, both as a singer and a teacher. Since her college years, Bonnie has taught Voice, in her own studio and on college campuses, including Northwest Nazarene University. More recently, she taught music classes at College of Western Idaho (CWI). Now she focuses solely on teaching privately.

Bonnie uses her teaching skills to challenge and encourage students to discover and enhance their own musical talents. She has a Master's degree in Music from Michigan State University and a Bachelor’s from Evangel University.

From church to the opera stage, Bonnie has sung in a wide variety of settings. As a member of Opera Idaho, Bonnie has enjoyed singing in several productions, most recently in Opera in the Park. While at NNU, she was the soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah and Mendelssohn’s Elijah. Currently, she sings in a professional chamber choir, Eagle Song.

Bonnie has an inspirational CD called Sacred Classics, primarily recorded in Nashville.
